CapyTek — small business automation studio

Software that runs the busywork for you.

CapyTek is a one-person studio building custom apps and pragmatic AI automation for small businesses — a senior architect's judgment, AI-accelerated delivery, none of the enterprise overhead.

What you get back

Whatever we build, it aims at the same three outcomes.

Hours back, every week

The repetitive, manual, copy-paste parts of your day stop being your job — software runs them reliably in the background.

Tools that fit how you work

No bending your business around generic software. You get purpose-built tools shaped around how your operation actually runs.

A straight answer on AI

Practical AI where it earns its keep, skipped where it doesn't. Honest advice from someone who builds, not just pitches.

A simple way to work together

No drawn-out enterprise process. Three clear steps from problem to a tool you can use.

Map

We map your workflow

A working session to walk through how things run today and find the slow, manual, error-prone steps worth fixing first.

Build

I build it, AI-accelerated

I design and build the tool, using AI to move fast while I keep a senior architect's eye on every decision. Scoped to a realistic timeline.

Hand off

You get a tool you own

A working app, clear documentation, and a straightforward way to run it. No lock-in, no mystery — it's yours.

What I build

Focused projects a one-person studio can take on and finish well — outcomes a small business will feel.

Workflow automation

Replace manual, repeated steps — data entry, reminders, reports, hand-offs — with software that runs them for you.

Internal tools & dashboards

Admin panels and dashboards that put your data and day-to-day operations in one place your team can actually use.

Customer-facing apps

Booking, intake, portals, and lightweight web apps built on Google's cloud — fast to ship, simple to maintain.

Data cleanup & integrations

Connect the tools you already pay for and get your data flowing between them instead of living in spreadsheets.

AI assistants for routine work

Targeted AI that drafts, sorts, summarizes, or answers the repetitive questions — pointed at the tasks that pay off.

Technical advisory

A senior architect to sanity-check your stack, scope, or AI plans before you spend money in the wrong direction.

The CapyTek quality mark

Every project is "Approved by Stevie."

Stevie's our capybara mascot — calm, dependable, a little bit charming. The stamp means something: nothing ships unless it clears the bar I'd hold my own work to.

  • Tested before it ever reaches you
  • Documented so you're never stuck
  • Built like I'm the one who has to run it

The architect behind CapyTek

CapyTek is a small, deliberate studio. I'm an IT architect who spent years on bigger, broader systems and now builds focused software for small businesses — the kind of automation that quietly saves hours every week.

I'll be straight with you: the studio is new and I'm taking on projects carefully. That's the point. You get senior judgment, AI speed, and someone genuinely invested in your project — not a ticket in a queue.

The short version

  • IT architect with a broad background — software, cloud, and hardware.
  • Brand-new studio, not a brand-new engineer.
  • AI-accelerated (Claude Code), human-reviewed on every decision.
  • Selective by design: a few good projects, done well.

Questions, answered honestly

Moderate-size builds for small businesses — workflow automation, internal tools, dashboards, and focused web apps. The sweet spot is something meaningful that a one-person studio can scope, build, and finish well.
